My GM Diet Experience - Day 1 - Fruit Diet

GM DietThe GM Diet is a 7 day diet program is designed to help the dieter lose up to 5 to 7 kilos a week ideally. The results will vary from person to person. The effectiveness of this 7 day plan is that the food eaten burn more calories than they give to the body in caloric value. I have done this diet before and it has helped me shed 10 kilos over a period of 4 months. Then I gained back 5 kilos mostly, because I ate some really unhealthy food. So I'm back to this diet after almost a year because I must shed at least 3 kilos. I will be blogging about my GM Diet experience as I go through it day by day this week.

My GM Diet Experience - Day 1 - Fruit Diet

Today is my all fruits days. I can eat any fruit I want and how much ever I want. However bananas are not allowed on Day 1. I am also supposed to drink about 10 glasses of water which should be over 2 liters and stay away from alcohol. I can also have starch free soups like the Indian Tamarind Rasam. I don't have a problem with water, because I am someone who drinks at least 3 liters of water a day and I don't drink alcohol at all. If I eat a lot of melons and citrus based fruits I have a chance at losing 1 to 1 1/2 kilos today.

How did my day go?

I started my day at 8am with a glass of Ceres' Apple & Kiwi 100% fruit juice. Then at 10am I made musk melon juice with 2 teaspoons of sugar. Yes, sugar could have been avoided but musk melon is so bland otherwise. From 10am to 12 pm I kept munching on jamuns also known as the Java Plum. These are indigenous fruits belonging to the Indian subcontinent and they come packed with Vitamin C, calcium and minerals. From 12 pm to 2 pm, I had a mango. From 4 pm to 6 pm I had a mango and a kiwi fruit. At 7pm I had a glass of Ceres' Apple & Kiwi 100% fruit juice. At 8pm I had some more jamuns. At 10 pm I had a glass of Maggi's Healthy Soup (Spinach). It is a cornstarch based soup which should have ideally been avoided but my stomach was waging a war with me. I did not measure my water intake but I know that I had more than 2 liters. I also cheated a bit. I had a 4 biscuits through the day.

Final Word on My GM Diet Experience - Day 1 - Fruit Diet

Well, it is fair to say that I survived. Getting through Day 1 is the biggest challenge of them all because you would almost do anything to have some carbohydrates that your body is craving for. Dieters, watch out because it is very easy to give in and sink your teeth into a cheeseburger. You need a lot of will power to get through the day.
