Do you know how to keep ourselves healthy? Health is wealth and this adage has been proven time and again. We are as good or as successful as our health and without it we cannot endeavor to do much in life. Therefore, our health becomes our prime responsibility. We know about regular exercise, balanced diet, vitamins, and minerals but somewhere in the hustle and bustle of daily life, we tend to ignore one or all of these aspects of a healthy existence. Well, we are here to remind you how to stay healthy and keep your family healthy too:-


 


Eat a Healthy Breakfast


 


A sumptuous breakfast is the only good way to start your day. We leave it upto you what you want to eat but make sure it is in sufficient quantity, cooked with minimal oil, and contains all food groups.


 


Drink at Least 8 Glasses of Water


 


Water creates the right balance of nutrients in our body and keeps our skin soft and supple. Therefore, make sure you drink at least 2-3 litres or 8 glasses of water every day. The best way to do so is to develop the habit of gulping down at least a litre of water first thing in the morning. This will not only  maintain a good and smooth bowel movement for you, but will also eliminate the toxins from your body.


 


Take a Good Quality Multiple Vitamin/Mineral


 


Since most of us lead such busy lives, be it kids or their parents. With so many things to be done in such a short time, food becomes the first casualty. We either skip meals altogether or depend on junk food, thereby compromising our nutrient intake. To supplement this loss, we need to consume a sufficient dose of multi-vitamins and various minerals.


 


Connect with Other People


 


We are talking of healthy social relations, not just going to pubs and boozing. Indulge in group activities, hobby classes, adventure groups and indulge the individual in you. Travel to new places, meet new people, learn about new cultures. This could be an enriching experience for your mind and also for your soul.


 


Take Some Quiet Time for Yourself


 


Connect with yourself on a regular basis. Out of 24 hours, keep at least 30 minutes for yourself. Do nothing but just recollect your thoughts or just be yourself during this half an hour.


 


Keep Regular Sleep Hours


 


A sound sleep is imperative to a healthy body and mind. Sleep on a fixed time every night and wake up similarly. Do not compromise on your beauty sleep for anything. And remember, you cannot recover your deprived sleep by sleeping extra hours and it has been scientifically proven. So, stick to regular sleep hours.


 


Establish a Relationship with a Doctor You Can Trust


 


Regular health check ups are a must to keep a track of where your body is going. With the medical science having made so much progress in the past century, it would be foolish not to keep a check on your health condition so that you can get remedial measures, if necessary, on time. So, visit your doctor and keep visiting.


You cannot achieve a healthy body overnight. It requires regular exercise, balanced diet, and an overall healthy lifestyle. We hope the steps mentioned above will help you in learning how to keep ourselves healthy.
