Bruce Willis Waiting For His Vodka Payment
You would think people would think twice before messing up with action hero Bruce Willis, considering the mean ways in which he bashes up the baddies onscreen. But there is no such luck for the 'Die Hard' star, who is struggling to get his paycheck even three years after promoting the Sobiesky vodka in the US.
Willis is entitled to receive an amount of €20 million for lending his image to the brand. The amount was the worth of his original compensation of 2.6% share in Belvédère, the French liquor company that owns the Sobieski brand. In order to get his money out from the company, Willis has had to send his representatives to work out a deal with the creditors of the company.
Although Willis, who worked as a bartender before working onscreen, began working for the Sobieski brand in 2009, his paycheck didn't come through on time as the company recorded severe loss. Thanks to his appearance on Sobieski commercials, its sales rose from 70,000 nine-liter cases in 2008 to one million cases in 2010. So, it is only natural that Willis wants his dues from the company.
