Tea has been hailed as a popular beverage for a long time now and now it has proved to have health benefits too. Drinking tea can keep heart risks at bay and boost your brain health.



According to medical research tea has active anti oxidants and flavanoids that help reduce inflammation, keep arteries and blood vessels in optimum health, reduces thrombosis (blood clots in the body) and fights cardiovascular problems.


The polyphenols in tea also have beneficial effects upon the bio-chemical processes in the body. Apart from all this tea, has also been pronounced to have anti carcinogenic properties.


While slowly sipping your cup of tea in the morning or an a lazy summer evening, did you ever realize that tea leaves have more than 700 chemicals, among which those that are closely related to human health are flavanoides, amino acids, vitamins (C, E and K), caffeine and polysaccharides.


Tea drinking has recently proven to be associated with cell-mediated immune function of the human body. Tea helps in providing immunity against intestinal disorders and in protecting cell membranes from oxidative damage. Tea also prevents dental caries due to the presence of fluorine.


Both green and black tea infusions contain a number of antioxidants, mainly catechins that have anti-carcinogenic, anti-mutagenic and anti-tumor properties.



However do not over dose on the liquid with all this info. 3-4 cups a day is the recommended limit for drinking tea. More than this amount may affect your body adversely.
