  • If E coli enters the body it rapidly multiplies in the intestine and causes severe diarrhea, vomiting and nausea. The presence of blood in stools may also be seen. In extreme cases death has been reported.



  • A parasite called giardia lambia can cause severe gastrointestinal distress when it is consumed through contaminated food and water. Diarrhea with abdominal cramps, body pain and fatigue from dehydration, is common. There is malabsorption of the fat that is eaten with food and it results in the formation of foul stools. This is a clear indication of a severe infection.



  • Raw carrots easily get infected by staphylococcus bacteria. Severe watery diarrhea and vomiting is caused by this microbe.

  • There should be no cracks or bruises on skin.
