  • Peppermint oil- Dilute this in a little coconut oil and apply on skin for faster healing. The mint oil reduces itch and  fats in the coconut oil help in repair of the skin.
  • Tea- Tea leaves are rich in antioxidants that help to regenerate skin naturally. The tannins in tea are released on boiling and work towards reducing pain and redness. Make a tea concentrate and cool it. Apply it with a cotton ball on the areas that are affected.
  • Honey- This has been used since centuries for wound healing and a thin layer applied on the blister reduces the allergic reaction and the healing time. Use pure honey for best results.
  • Witch Hazel- Use witch hazel because of the natural anti inflammatory properties it possesses which helps to dry and heal the scabs. Natural witch hazel extracts are available in the market
  • Jewel weed- It helps to negate the side effects caused by toxins in the poison ivy plant. It prevents the rash from getting severe. A paste of the leaves can be applied directly on the rash.

  • Vitamin A in diet helps to skin repair.
