Green Superfoods That Are Also Anti-Aging
Anti-aging green superfoods! Wow! They are here already. You don't have to make a deal with the devil to stay forever young. While staying young forever is not technically possible yet, you can delay aging by eating these green superfoods. These anti-aging green superfoods are easily available in most places around the world. While there are many green superfoods available commercially, Wheatgrass, Spirulina, and Chlorella are the ones you should try.
Many of us have seen people drink Wheatgrass concoctions in the health spas. Wheat grass is the young wheat plant. It comes loaded with anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals, amino acids and enzymes. It is also a good source of chlorophyll. You will find Wheatgrass in the health stores in the form of frozen juice, powder, tablets, or even fresh produce. Wheatgrass helps in flushing out the toxins from the body.
Of all the green superfoods, Chlorella is the most ancient. This fresh water green algae is at least 2 billion years old. Research studies show that Chlorella detoxifies the body, improves digestion, protects skin against radiation, and improves the body's immune system in general. This is because Chlorella is a rich source of Vitamins B, C, E, and minerals like iron and zinc. And just like Wheatgrass, Chlorella comes loaded with antioxidants that help cleanse the body.
The green superfoods would be incomplete without the mention of Spirulina. It is a blue-green algae that is usually found in the warm and alkaline waters around the world. This blue-green algae contains 70% protein. Spirulina is also rich in Vitamins B complex, C and E. And not surprisingly, Spirulina is much sought after for its anti-oxidant properties and anti-viral properties. It is also used in the promotion of weight loss, which is an extra benefit.
Wheatgrass, Chlorella and Spirulina are the three anti-aging superfoods, so try them out! But remember, overdose of anything is not good. These are commercially available 'ambrosia'., but you will still need to learn how much your body needs Consult your doctor before making any dietary changes.
