The Wonders Of Fenugreek Seeds
"The wonders of fenugreek seeds" announced a newspaper heading. This news caught my attention because I have tasted a fenugreek bread (or say Methi ka Paratha) some years ago during my visit to India. Basically I hate bitter vegetables but somehow I grew fond of the bitter bread and savored its delicious memory for many years. I never knew that fenugreek was such a wonderful herb and that fenugreek seeds had positive impact on health. The article focused on the following wonders of fenugreek seeds.
Fenugreek seeds are good digestant
Fenugreek seeds help in regulating the metabolism and aids in preventing constipation. Fenugreek seeds are a rich source of polysaccharide galactomannan, which aids in digestion. The galactomannan fiber also works great way in lowering cholesterol. Fenugreek is also a well known blood purifier, which helps in flushing out the toxins from the body.
Fenugreek seeds are a well known galactagogue
Studies indicate that fenugreek seeds are the potent stimulator of breast milk. They are often used by nursing mothers to increase production of milk. It has been found that milk production increased by 900 % after consumption of fenugreek seeds. This change was noticed within a time-span of around 24-72 hours. The other noted effect is that even if lactating mother stops using fenugreek seeds, milk production continued to remain the same.

Slightly massage this tonic on the scalp at least 15 minutes before you are set to wash your hair.
Fenugreek seeds are considered to be great antidotes for skin
Fenugreek seeds aid in promoting skin health. They are laced with enzymes which help in curbing lackheads, pimples, dryness and rashes, thereby reducing the wrinkles. The paste is made up of fresh fenugreek seeds and mixed with water, and applied over the face. For best effects don't nudge the paste for at least 20 minutes. Then, wash it with warm water. You can also wash your face with water boiled with fenugreek seeds. The fenugreek seed paste is also applied on inflamed body parts, and boils. Fenugreek seeds also help in curbing acne by purifying the blood.
