Do you want to be energized and fresh throughout the day? Then give a fruity start to your day by replacing bacon and eggs with different varieties of fruit. This article will show how a fruity breakfast keeps you fit and energetic all through the day.

Why eat fruits for Breakfast? Eating fruits for breakfast is considered healthy because it is easy to digest as the body easily turns sugar (glucose) in the fruit into energy. The body needs less energy to digest fruits compared to any other form of food. Lets see it with an example, if you take a bite of an apple and an egg simultaneously in your breakfast, the body will take a longer time to digest apple. This happens because egg interrupts the apple’s path from going directly into the gut, which causes the fruit to remain undigested for too long. If the food remains undigested in the stomach for lengthy period, it rots and causes digestive discomforts like bloating or gas. However, if you eat grapes or any other fruit with apple, the digestive process will be smooth.

What to eat and what to avoid? All fresh fruit like apples, grapefruit, strawberries, cherries, oranges, kiwi, melon, and grapes create equal affect as it makes you feel satisfied for a longer period. Even high-water content fruits like watermelon or muskmelon are equally fulfilling. However, always stay away from fruit juices, especially the ones that are commercially made as these contain high amounts of sugar and preservatives harmful to health.

Eat fruites without cooking: Fruits can help you keep fit if they are eaten during breakfast in their fresh and raw form. Hence, you must avoid cooking or baking them so as to get their maximum benefit. Fresh fruits must not be confused with dried fruits like figs, dates, raisins, almonds, cashews and mango slices. Do not consider fruit smoothies as part of the fruit for breakfast menu.
