Foods play a vital role in balancing hormones in human body. This article will guide on what foods should be taken to balance hormones.



 


Foods Which Balance Hormones


 


Drink Water: If you suspect you are suffering from hormonal imbalance, the first thing you should do is to start drinking plenty of water in order to get rid of a condition called odema or water retention. Water leaks into body tissues from the blood under this situation. Ironically, the home-remedy to cure water retention is to drink water because it happens when we are low on water or dehydrated. The body on its own conserves some water to keep itself hydrated. Approximately 8-10 glasses per day help shed extra water from body, thereby, reducing water retention. You must also reduce consumption of alcohol, caffeine and sugars.

Harmone-free Dairy Products: Have natural and hormone-free dairy products and specifically avoid dairy products, which have come from antibiotics-fed animals. Do not use milk from animals, which were given artificial growth hormones to increase production.                                                                                                                                             


 



Fish: Consume fish once in three days because it contains a vital hormone called DHEA,  which influences the brain functioning as well as reproduction process. This element is commonly found in tuna, salmon and mackerel. Use fish oil supplement if you are a vegetarian.

Fiber Foods: Eat more organic, natural and whole food diets like veggies, fruits and whole grains because they are pesticide free. An increase in fiber diet is recommended. Whole grain breads, buns, muffins, breakfast cereals are high fiber foods. Some dried-fruits like apricots, dates, prunes and raisins and general fruits like oranges, apple with skin, avocado, kiwi, mango and pear are also rich sources of fiber. Fiber can also be found in a wide range of veggies like broccoli, spinach, green peas and dark green leafy vegetables. Whole flaxseed and soynuts also have fiber in them.


 



Eat low-fat foods: Particularly avoid high-fat and processed foods like pre-packaged meats, frozen dinners, packaged white breads, hot dogs or even cookies. Instead eat foods, which are low in fat like lettuce, carrots, spinach, baked potatoes, egg whites, oatmeal cookies, breakfast cereals, wheat bread, beans, rice, pancakes, chicken soup etc.


Exercise Regularly: Do exercises regularly to stay fit and healthy. Use stairs instead of lift or walk a mile after office three times a week. Whatever you do, do it consistently to allow your body to adjust hormonal balances and keep them steady.


If you manage to avoid poor diet, especially those that are high in toxins, and follow a healthy diet, no one can stop you from controlling the hormonal balance in your body.
