The British Royal Bath & West showground, near Shepton Mallet, held its renowned giant vegetable contest late last year.

The record breaking vegetable was a marrow (type of gourd) weighing in at 113 lbs or 65 kilos.

This monstrous vegetable had to be carried to the display table by two grown men.

The marrow grown by Ken Dade, from Norfolk achieved the world record by outweighing the earlier record by a whopping 3 kilos (6.6lbs)!

Massive cucumbers, huge beetroots and gargantuan pumpkins were all present at the show which was attended by nearly 30,000 people!

If you love vegetables…you would surely love this!

Considering that the people were not too cheerful about the soggy summer they had, the competitors definitely had reason to be cheerful since the vegetables seemed to have benefited from the weather!
