America Ferrera who played the feisty 'Ugly Betty' in the popular American soap has revised her diet to get a whole new body. She touched a chord with the viewers with her adorable and very real portrayal of the character she played and now she is all set to fish complements for her brand new look. At a recent award function she looked stunningly slimmer. Let's find out the secret behind this look.

 

 


America's Views On Diet 

Ferrera is clear about her preferences “You have to build a normal relationship with exercise and food, for me it’s not about looking like a supermodel-it’s about feeling good about who I am naturally.” “We are not all a size 2 and we’re not all a size zero and you know what? That’s ok because some of us like to eat!” She chirps.

America used to eat a lot of junk food. This is nothing new taking into account the big bad world of Hollywood and the stressful environment she works in. The hectic schedules and continuous work makes you turn to food  to combat the anxiety, though we agree food can be a source of great pleasure, eating healthy is very important.

 

America took to yoga and other hiking activities to combat the stress.  She was not too much of a breakfast person but now she makes it a point to start her day with a wholesome breakfast which has proteins, carbohydrates and cacium.

 

Insiders say that she had lost twenty pounds and had the lean muscle look. Quite understandable, you cannot escape the peer pressure and in the land full of skinny damsels being a little on the heavier side can distress you, right Betty?

 

 "I feel like I’m a regular person — I’m a size 6 or 8, which is totally normal… I do feel like if I wanted to get in better shape. Touché well we say go ahead! There is no harm in that as long as you are not aiming to be a toothpick, after all we only want you to lose some fat not your charm.
