Vivica A. Fox Diet And FitnessVivica A.Fox leads a relatively carb-free lifestyle. However, this 47 year old actress and telivision producer admits that it wasn't easy. When she was cast for the role of Vernita Green a.k.a Copperhead in Kill Bill I, she felt the need to drop down from a Size 10 to her former Size 4. She had stated, "The camera isn't kind when you're carrying extra pounds." She had reportedly shed 30 pounds and there was no turning back for her.


               


The Cleopatra Smiles actress admitted that it took a lot of patience and persistence on her part to adapt to that lifestyle. She also advises the same to people who want to follow in her footsteps. "It's hard at first to give up carbs such as bread," she says, "but the longer you stick to it, the easier it gets. And you do lose your cravings for carbs."


        


She eats a lot of meat and low-carb vegetables. She loves salads from California Pizza Kitchen and her favorite would be their Oriental Chicken Salad - lettuce tossed with scallions, basil, cilantro and crispy angel hair pasta, sprinkled with a spicy sweet-and-sour sesame dressing and topped with grilled chicken breast.

                           


Vivica who loves carbs like every other American, does take a day off from her 'carb-free' week and indulges in some comfort food. "I'm good all week eating meat, fish and vegetables every day. But once a week, I splurge on what I call 'girl soul food'. I have my friends over, and we have a barbecue and peach cobbler and ice cream."


                     


Fitness is important to Vivica. She practices Tae-bo 3 to 5 times a week at the Billy Blanks studio. She is also a self confessed Zumba addict."Zumba is perfect for my lifestyle. You're working out, and you almost feel like you're not working out," she says in one of the Zumba ads.
