Hilary Swank DIetThe Hilary Swank diet is worth a million dollars. Why? Apart from the fact that this Million Dollar Baby actress has a terrific metabolism, she is also someone who knows how to take care of herself. Hillary Swank, 37, also makes sure that she finds the time to hit the gym as it is very important to her. Let's take a look at 'This Boys Don't Cry' actress' diet and fitness regimen.

The Hilary Swank Diet

Hilary Swank like most of the tinsel town celebrities is on a low carbohydrate-high protein diet. She does not consume much of the refined carbohydrates like pastas, white breads, etc. Instead she opts for whole grain cereals and baked products. She eats a lot of lean protein like salmon, turkey and chicken which are often grilled. Of course, her diet also has its share of fruits and vegetables. This 'Next Karate Kid' actress reportedly takes a lot of diet supplements to support her hectic lifestyle. She takes Aloe C, flax, BrainWave and Oz Garcia Longevity Pak among 45 others.

When it comes to her fitness, though she has a killer metabolism, she says that exercise is crucial for her. "I have a really high metabolism. Exercise is also really important to me. I think it gives me more energy. I would rather sleep six hours and get an hour workout than sleep seven hours,” she said. She also has high regards of pilates as she sees it very effective. Hilary Swank said, "I really appreciate exercise because I think it's a great stress relief," she says. "I do this thing called power Pilates, which I love, love, love."

Final Word on the Hilary Swank Diet

The lesson to be learnt from Hilary Swank's diet and fitness story is: don't rely solely on your awesome metabolism (if you have it that is). Get into the gym and work up some sweat. However, I will not recommend that many diet supplements. Please resort to natural foods to get your nutrients. I am not sure about the side effects of taking too many diet supplements, so consult a doctor before you decide to start taking any. Good luck and you deserve to look like a million bucks.
