Kate Winslet Diet

Kate WinsletThe Kate Winslet diet gives everyone hope! The British actress Kate Winslet is one of the leading ladies in today's western cinema. She might be a glittering star but like a lot of us out there, she too had weight issues. Right now she is beautifully curvy, and is in her physical best. But when she was a teenager, she was called as 'blubber' by some of her classmates because she weighed close to 200 pounds. Though she is in the movie business where women are expected to be skinny, she is one person who advocates the fact that women should have a healthy body image. “I strongly believe that women should be encouraged to accept themselves as they are,” she says. And on that note, let's look at her diet.

The Kate Winslet Diet:

Kate Winslet says, "I still don't believe this craziness for being skinny, but I eat sensibly and I don't stuff down chocolate biscuits." Like I said before, Hollywood does put a lot of pressure on the women to be skinny to a great extent that it pushes them to do extreme dieting or starving in some cases. It is good that Kate Winslet knows what she is eating and has found her happy medium. “I love to cook; I cook every day, chicken features a lot in our lives. Chicken ‘bits and bobs,’ as my son calls it, which is basically roasted drumsticks.” She also wants to set the right example for her kids, so she adds a lot of vegetable and fruits to their daily meals.

Kate Winslet leads a very busy life shooting movies and taking care of her two children. She says that she does not have time to go to the gym regularly but does her own exercises every day to stay  fit. “I just do my own stuff at home with the help of DVDs. A little bit of Pilates, and just recently I started running, but I’m not very good, “ she said. Interestingly enough, she does not even employ a personal trainer and I am amazed.

Final Word on the Kate Winslet Diet:

I really love Kate Winslet approach of having a healthy body image and the concept of embracing yourself just the way you are. Kudos to her! But remember that she is not advocating unhealthy eating habits and laziness.

Adios!
