When Kate Hudson, 32, appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman, she admitted that she has been counting calories in order to shed all that weight. Kate Hudson has always been on the thinner side of the weighing scale, but like a lot of women she gained weight during her pregnancy. “My biggest challenge was losing the 60 pounds I’d packed on when I was pregnant. I was a big, jolly pregnant lady,” she said. So she hired a personal trainer who monitored her diet and helped her to get back in shape. Yes, she did count the calories but she was on a 1500 calories a diet till the time she lost all the weight. Kate Hudson eliminated processed foods and added complex carbohydrates, lean proteins along with plenty of fruits and vegetables. However, she did treat herself with some of her favorite things to eat, every once in a while.
What is so special about the Kate Hudson diet is that it not only involved portion controlled meals but also some serious workouts. “I devoted six hours a day to a rigorous workout regime. I would do 45 or 55 minutes of cardio and then an hour of Pilates or yoga three times a day.” Her trainer Garett Warren said, “If we run one day for 20 minutes, the next day is a 30 minute run with Pilates. Or if we do stairs one day for 30 minutes, the next day we do an hour and a half Pilates class and then a high pace 15-20 minute run.” Kate Hudson was very determined to lose all that weight and she did it; that sums it all up
