Naomi CampbellWhat can I say about the Naomi Campbell diet, except that it is crazy and I will not stand by it. Naomi Campbell, 41, supermodel with legs up till her neck once said, “I never diet. I smoke. I drink now and then. I never work out. I work very hard and I am worth every cent," Right now, she has cleaned up a bit, but not entirely healthy. She goes on detox diet many times a year and I wonder how she manages it. Anyway, let's take a look at her diet.


                                                    


The Naomi Campbell Diet:


When Naomi Campbell was on Oprah, she said "I try to do [this] three times a year … The most I've ever done it for is 18 days. It's good just to clean out your body once in a while." 18 days, eeks! And just like many skinny Hollywood celebrities, she too promotes master cleanse diets and fasting every once in a while saying that it is good for the body. She does the Maple Syrup diet. In this liquid diet, the dieter is asked to consume a concoction of maple syrup, cayenne pepper, lemon juice and water and eating nothing else. She said that she has given up meat and gluten products (not that she is allergic to it or something). And apparently her rich Russian boyfriend of 3 years is also very supportive of her when it comes to resisting food. "If there is bread on the table, he's like, 'don't eat bread," she said. When Naomi Campbell was asked how she maintains such a good figure, she said that she has good genes. She is damn right about that one. But this woman also exercises. She finds joy in gyrotonic workouts is a combination of  Pilates,  yoga, gymnastics and tai chi to stretch and lean out the muscles. She said, "I don't like workouts that make you bulky, this really stretches you. What I like about gyrotonics is you feel like you really elongated yourself for the day." Naomi Campbell also said, "As we all get older, everything changes and moves, and there's natural ways to exercise. I think it's important, and I think it's something that can help keep things in place." Well, that is sensible.


                                                                                                          


Final Word on the Naomi Campbell Diet:


I will not stand by her diet or her diet tips. The Maple Syrup cleanse can be done once in a while but that is not food. Do not do it on a frequent basis. An overdose of the Maple Syrup diet will cause blackouts, fatigue, general weakness and nausea. Even if you go on crazy diets like this, there is no gaurantee that you will end up looking like her. You can only look your best and you cannot look like anyone else. Eat healthily, drink plenty of water, stay away from cigarettes and work out. You can however try gyrotonics as it has proved to be very effective.
