Take soft foods like yogurt after wisdom tooth extraction If you had the misfortune of having your wisdom tooth extracted you might have probably faced much discomfort and struggled with eating. You can’t eat regular food for a couple of days and it’s hard to figure out what you can manage without causing much pain. Here are some ideas on what foods to eat after wisdom tooth extraction so that you exert very little pressure on your gums.

Yogurt– It’s pretty much creamy and soft in texture, of course one of the best foods to eat after wisdom tooth extraction. You shouldn't buy the variety that has nuts and pieces of fruit in them as that would require chewing, so get the plain kind.  If it is too cold keep it outside for a while till it attains the room temperature and then eat it as extreme temperatures might irritate the gums a bit.

Soups and Juices – You can make this from any kind of vegetable and fruit. As long as there’s a broth to it you can pretty much declare it as a soup.  You could even have noodle soup as noodles are soft and mushy and won’t cause you too much anguish. In case you are watching your weight you don’t have to fret too much with these; they are both healthy options so you can eat them without any guilt.

Applesauce is supposed to be another great food for someone who just had their wisdom tooth extracted. This is in a puree form so it is an ideal food to eat that will help fill your stomach and create little or no worry for the gums. It is also a healthy food option so you don’t have to think twice about the fat content in it.

Hopefully you will have a quick recovery after your wisdom tooth extraction and the diet modification will not be too much of a hassle now that you know what options you have.
