How To Use Honey Mushrooms In Daily Diet

Honey mushrooms are very common type of mushrooms and they are quite useful as well. If you learn about how to use honey mushrooms in daily diet, you can make use of this delicious ingredient in any type of recipes, such as soup, salad, relish, stir-fry or stew. Only thing be careful about honey mushrooms is that you should cook this for at least 15 minutes, otherwise it might not suit many people. Also, chose the young mushrooms instead of the old and matured ones. Here you will find some recipe ideas to include honey mushrooms in daily diet.


Honey Mushroom Soup – There are a variety of soup recipes, considering honey mushroom as a main ingredient. However, you should sauté the mushrooms and allow the liquid to get evaporated. Use other ingredients like onions, garlic cloves, chicken broth, pepper and salt into the soup to enhance the taste. You can also blend all of them and call the soup as cream of mushroom soup.


Honey Mushroom Fry – Prepare a batter of white flour by mixing little bit of salt and pepper powder. Now, take each of the mushrooms and dip them into the batter. Fry them in hot oil, till deep brown. These can be great snacks item.


Honey Mushroom Relish – Blend sautéed mushrooms with flour, sugar and spices like nutmeg, ginger etc. Add dry sherry to this and cook gently to prepare the relish. It is ideal for enjoying baked ham.


Honey Mushroom Salad – Use boiled honey mushroom caps to prepare the salad. Drain well and toss with toasted sesame seeds and fine strips of nappa cabbage. Use soy sauce, lemon juice, dry sherry and vegetable oil to prepare the dressing.


Honey Mushroom Stew – You can add your choice of meat to prepare the stew. You should sauté the mushrooms and chopped onions after sautéing the meat. Add water to this and let it simmer for some time. When the meat is tender, add celery stalks and bean sprouts. You can also add other vegetables of your choice. Add seasoning to the stew and serve hot with rice or bread.


Stuffed Honey Mushroom – Separate the caps from the stem and stuff them with the mixture of crab meat, eggs, lemon juice, chopped onions, mayonnaise and bread crumbs. Drizzle some olive oil on top of the stuffed mushroom caps and bake them in a preheated oven for at least 15 minutes.


Mushroom Stir Fry – Boil the honey mushrooms for some time before using for the stir fry. Now use your choice of vegetables like bell peppers, beans, celery, carrots, bean sprouts etc to stir fry along with the mushrooms. Add seasoning of soy sauce, ground black pepper, vinegar and salt. This recipe tastes great with noodles or pasta or even bread.
