With her baby due end of May, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty is indulging in exhaustive pre-natal care so that she can re-own her renowned toned limbs and washboard abs. This svelte actress, who won the most controversial "Celebrity Big Brother" way back in 2007, is just a few days away from delivering her first baby with her husband Raj Kundra.


 


What Does She Eat?


 


This sexy babe believes that human body is aware of its needs and hence, one should eat according to the body requirements. She says, "Don't force feed yourself. Try to keep your food fresh and eat at home. I avoid eating out. If I do, I indulge only in grilled food. I pity my sweet tooth for depriving it of chocolates, ice creams, and cakes ever since I entered the seventh month of pregnancy. You can have sweets in moderation. Don't overdo it as most mothers do and end up with gestational diabetes.”

“If you like stepping out to indulge yourself, watch your salt intake, and ensure the food has no Monosodium Glutamate (MSG). The only things I would advise against are aerated drinks and junk food. Have nuts, milkshakes and yogurts, as they will enhance your fetus' growth. Most importantly, you must have calcium, folic acid and iron tablets. I wouldn't miss a single dose for anything in the world,” add this beauty.


 


Gym Out, Lamaze In


 


Exercise, but with a limit, that is what she says. "Gym is a strict no-no because it exhausts you. Workouts therefore may seem out of the question. In pregnancy, you want to be pampered. That's where the massages and Lamaze come in."


 


 


She also undergoes pre-natal massages, which she started during the fifth month of her pregnancy. "I recommend the 50-minute-long prenatal massage, administered by a trained therapist and advised from the fifth to the ninth month.” This demure damsel has plans to indulge in post-natal massages also.


 


Plus, she walks for at least 30 minutes a day, despite being a tough task. "I feel very heavy and I trudge along slower than before. Obviously, it is tiring, and yet necessary”, says this beautiful actor.


 


Shilpa is, undoubtedly, following a healthy pregnancy diet plan along with some classic exercises which every mom-to-be can adopt.
