Egg has long been touted as a super food but did you know that it is not only a super food for your body but for your skin too? This is because egg is packed with high quality proteins and Vitamin A that help keep skin and eye tissues healthy. It also contains high amounts of Vitamin E which is essential for keeping skin nourished and hydrated from within. Moreover, the selenium present in eggs works together with Vitamin E as a powerful anti-oxidant fighting against all kinds of free radical damage which are the main cause of aging.


Eat Egg for Good Skin

'An egg a day' can be your personal prescription for beautiful skin. The high amounts of Vitamins D and B help in keeping skin cells healthy. Moreover, regular consumption of eggs helps in providing iron to the body. Iron is required by the body for carrying oxygen to skin cells.

Hence, eat eggs every day and to keep it interesting experiment with different dishes keeping it as the main ingredient.


Apply Egg for Smooth and Supple Skin

Applying egg regularly can help keep your skin taut and nourished. Since our skin absorbs most of the ingredients that are applied topically, application of egg helps in delivering proteins directly to the skin.

Skin Firming Egg Face Mask

An egg face mask can give you an instant face lift while also shrinking open pores.

To prepare this egg mask, take a small bowl and beat egg white in it until light and frothy. Add a few drops of geranium essential oil and honey to it. Blend nicely.

Wash your skin and apply the mask evenly to your face and neck. Allow the mixture to dry and then wash off with lukewarm water.

In case your skin is dry, add 1/2 tablespoon fresh cream to the mask.

Anti-Aging Egg Treatment

This treatment can take years off your and it can also delay aging if done with regularity.

To prepare the anti-aging egg face mask, take a small bowl and beat 1 whole egg in it. Add 3 tablespoons red wine to it and beat again. Seal the bowl with a piece of aluminum foil and keep in the refrigerator. After 2 days, add 1 teaspoon honey to the mixture and beat again.

Apply the mixture to your face and neck after cleansing. Let the mixture dry completely. In the meanwhile, take a small cup and combine 1 tablespoon red wine with equal quantity of water. Mix well.

After the mask has dried completely dip a large cotton ball in the wine mixture and apply on your face and neck. Keep for 5 minutes and then wash off with warm water first and then with ice cold water.

Do this treatment once or twice a week for miraculous results.

It will not only make your skin appear youthful and radiant but will also hydrate it from within. Moreover, the alternate washing with warm and ice-cold water will help increase blood circulation helping the skin get rid of impurities and allowing nutrients to reach the skin surface.
